"The Science of Deception and the Art of Detection, The Empathy Technique" is designed for people with no previous background knowledge in deception detection and is equally useful to civilians and law enforcement alike. The Empathy Technique teaches you not only how to tell if someone is being deceptive, but also how to determine the truth behind that deception. This two-day course combines scientific analysis of body language, linguistics, and paralinguistics to understand the whole picture behind the story you are being presented. The Empathy Technique will also teach you to tap into your own emotions to better understand the motive driving the person behind the story you are analyzing. You will leave this course with the tools you need to identify deception, properly question the individual telling the story, determine the truth, and to determine the motive behind the deception. “The Science of Deception and the Art of Detection, The Empathy Technique” is also the prerequisite to the follow-on course, “The Science of Deception and the Art of Interrogation, The Empathy Technique.” This course is approximately 7 hours across two sessions.
